HOW TO USE
HOW TO USE
CA reusable loofah sponge can be used for up to 4 months, and even longer with proper care, compared to just 2 weeks for a typical disposable sponge.
On average, we use about 25 sponges a year. Even with regular disinfection, bacteria accumulate very quickly.
CA multi-purpose sponge can be easily cleaned by hand or in the washing machine (see our care tips below).
You can use it to clean all surfaces with its scrubbing loofah side and its softer honeycomb side, which cleans gently.

The main material of CA washable sponge is a 100% plant-based fiber from **Luffa aegyptiaca**, a type of gourd originally from Latin America, now commonly found in Egypt and Asia.
Luffa (or Loofah) can be used in various forms beyond the kitchen. For example, it can be used as a skin exfoliator to remove impurities, and is gentler than a traditional scrubbing mitt, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
Thanks to its tightly woven yet airy fibers, the sponge lathers soap well and allows you to wash and degrease dishes gently, without the risk of scratches or streaks.
Compatible with most household and cleaning products, it is also perfect for cleaning various surfaces such as sinks, bathtubs, countertops, and more.

To maintain our reusable sponge, you have two options:
- Hand Wash: Clean it with our solid olive oil soap, then let it air dry.
- Machine Wash: Use our bicarbonate of soda laundry powder at 30° with a gentle spin cycle.
To extend the lifespan of your sponge, make sure to rinse and wring it out well after each use, and let it dry. We also recommend avoiding harsh cleaning detergents or chemicals and opting for a biodegradable dish soap to minimize environmental impact.

COMME AVANT
Sophie and Nil, along with their two sons, Nael and Joan, started their journey toward a healthier lifestyle when Sophie became pregnant with Nael. Concerned about the impact of synthetic chemicals on their health and the environment, they searched for more natural alternatives. After Nael experienced skin irritations from commercial products, they began making their own soap from organic olive oil.
Their homemade soap was a success, inspiring them to launch **Comme Avant** in 2013. The family business now offers a range of simple, natural cosmetics and household products, certified organic and eco-friendly. Over time, their team grew, bringing in family and friends who share their values.
They manufacture all their products in their own workshop, certified "Origine France Garantie." They follow a philosophy of "less and better," reducing waste and improving their products based on customer feedback.
With transparency and fairness at the heart of their business, they publicly share salaries, follow a horizontal management structure, and invest in philanthropic projects to protect biodiversity. Although they remain a small family company, **Comme Avant** continues to grow while staying true to their ecological and ethical principles.
